Easy-Cheesy Lemon Bars

What to know

A Family favorite, this dessert never dissapointed.


What you need:


Batter:

- 1pkg of Lemon Cake mix

- 1/2c Butter or Margarine (melted)

- 1 egg


"Frosting":

- 1pkg Lemon butter cream frosting

- 8oz. Cream cheese (softened)

- 2 eggs


What you do:

- Prep a 9x13 inch baking pan, by only greasing the bottom of the baking pan. 

- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cake mix, Butter and 1 egg, and stir until moist.  

- In a second bowl, blend the package of frosting into the softened cream cheese.  Pull 1/2 cup of this mixutre and reserve it.  this will eventually go into the actual frosting.

-  Blend together the batter mixture and the "frosting" mixture (minus the 1/2 cup).  Spread this mixture into the greased 9x13 and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

- After the bar batter is finished baking, pull from the oven and let cool completely.

- Usng the 1/2 cop of "frosting" batter, beat in 2 eggs for 3 to 5 minutes.  Spread over the completely cooled bars.
