Grandma B's Christmas Cookies

What to know

Christmas is always a special time of the year.  With young children in the house, it is even more special.  Every family has their own traditions, from the reading of "The Night Before Christmas" to tradistional eats and treats.  This was a fun treat to not only eat, but also make.  


What you need:

- 1lb Butter, softened (DO NOT use  margarine )

- 1lb Sugar

- 4-6 Eggs

- 2lb Floour

- Glass of Whiskey 

-  Egg Wash and Cinnamon/Sugar mix


What to do:

-  Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, using a wooden spoon, mix the ingredients together using 300 strokes of said spoon.

- Form the dough into a ball, warp with plastic wrap and refigerate for 24 hours.

-  When ready, pre-heat oven to 350.  

- Roll out the dough, and using cookie cutters, cut cookies out and place on a cookie sheet.

-  Optional:  An egg wash can be painted onto the cookies and then sprinkle with Sugar and Cinnamon.  

- Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, until golden brown.


Note:

This recipe can be big.  here is how you halve it.


- 1C butter

- 1C Sugar

- 2 Eggs

- 2C Flour

- Half a glass of Whiskey
