What you need:
The Sauce:
- 1/2c Butter
- 2Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1Tbsp Yellow Mustard
- 1Tbsp Worchetershire
- 1Tbsp Poppy Seeds
The Sandwiches (enough for 6)
- 1/2lb Black Forest Ham
- 12 oz. Package Provologne Cheese
- 6 Take-n-bake Rolls (like Ciabata)
(alt. King's Hawiian Rolls)
What you do:
Start by preheating your oven to 350.
Start the sauce by adding the butter into a small sauce pan. Once the butter starts to melt, add the rest of the sauce ingredients. melt them together, do not let this sauce cook, it will scorch.
Assemble the sandwiches in a baking dish that fits all of your rolls. If you need help assembling the sandwiches at this point, I didn't raise you right. I'm sorry.
Once the sandwiches are assembled, evenly spread the sauce over all of the rolls.
Once the oven comes to temperature, bake the sandwiches for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, pull the sandwiches. They are hot, so give them 5 or 10 minutes to cool, so guests can handle them. Server and enjoy.
Suggestions:
1. As mentioned, King's Hawaiian Rolls are nice switch up. Pretzel Slider buns are also good.
2. Using hearty rolls, like the Ciabata or Pretzel Slider buns, creates a sandwich that holds up a bit better. If you like a softer sandwich, try the King's Hawaiian Rolls.
