What you need:
- Salmon Fillet
- 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Citrus or Lemon-Pepper seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- Cooking Spray
- Baking dish that fits Salmon Fillets (If using an oven)
What you do:
- Start by preheating your oven/smoker/grill to 357.
- Using the Olive Oil, drizzle the oil onto the Fillets and spread around as needed. This is the binder.
- Generously season the salmon with your favorite citrus or Lemmon Pepper mix
- Splash on the lemon juice. just a few spinkinkles, you are not hosing down the dish.
- Bake/cook the salmon for 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness.
After the time is up, remove from the dish and serve as desired. This recipe is for a thicker piece of fish, so if you have something thinner, like 1/2 inch thick, back down the cooking time. When done, the fish should be juicy inside, but very little, if any, of the albumin (weird white looking stuff that seeps out) should be present. Be sure to adjust cooking times as needed.
Suggestions:
1. I like the Weber Zesty Lemon Seasoning. I have been using this one for a while and it is usually well recieved.
2. Old Bay is a gold standard, you can't go wrong there.
